I bought 2 pieces of chicken and chips for £3- was quickly and efficiently served, despite queue.
As I rattled along the cobbles of Wapping High Street in my car (historical stomping ground for Charles Dickens Dombey and Son, etc)the aroma of the slightly spiced chips was very pleasing.
They turned out to be crisp and delicious. The chicken was plump, succulant and fine flavour. Excellent meal- thank you Wapping Fish Bar -

This place is kinda insane. This was pretty much my first stop as soon as we dropped my stuff off at my friend's place in Wapping. Walked in, ordered the fish and chips, and I swear the piece of fish I got was bigger than my head. Probably best to eat this in the actual store so that you can guarantee access to enough vinegar/condiments, but the to-go packaging was pretty good and I got some mayo and through the vinegar on before leaving.
Definitely was more food than I could handle in a sitting. Not sure if that's because I just flew 10+ hours plus another 1.5 hours on the tube, but it really filled me up. Was just a little too greasy for me, but will come back next time I'm in London.
Cash only. -

The nicest homemade chippie style chips I've had in ages.
Especially in Wapping as the area is quite posh and there's not much in the way of fast food unless you want to head to Shadwell or Brick Lane, which only caters to those looking for a curry or fried chicken.
I haven't had the fish but I shall definitely be doing so after watching that yummy video... Only bad thing is, it's so close to my house. Temptation is always near! -

Nice guys and so generous with the chips. We caught them as they were closing up and they couldn't have been any nicer. The food was great, the attitude even better. Run don't walk for some quick great take away.
